As soon as I read the title, I started singing Mozart to myself. I was thrilled when I got to the end and discovered that you meant for him to be listening to Mozart, too.

We sang it 100 years ago when I attended Winona State. I loved it then and I still do. Thank you for this rather dark but still enjoyable story.

FYI,I live a bit south of Frostbite Falls.

Dark, but not too dark. Its funny how some things can be attractive in the abstract, but the viseral reality is not. Thanks for sharing this.

That would indeed be to take good old Wolfie a bit too seriously. Or rather, the text he put music to. Sometimes, like now, I find myself wondering just how many suicides could've been avoided by a simple thing - like changing the music. Hm. I guess once you really reach suicidal depths, mere music won't be able to pull you out. So your worldview has changed - I take it that means you don't gaze longingly at death anymore?

Which piece is this? The words seem familiar, and I have a tune just out of reach that's tugging at my brain, but I don't recognize it.

Thanks for sharing!
