For many years, I have had the pleasure and honour of following what can be considered a masterpiece in the HP fanfic archives.
Mike, you have built so much on JKR's universe, and developed it so well that I feel privileged to read this story over and over again.
This chapter proves once again your amazing talent. Death, mourning and its consequences on people's lives are here transposed so naturally into HP's magical universe, that the reader can literally feel the loss of the character.
The evolution of the intrigue is always leading the reader to review the limits of the universe you have greatly expended so far.
I sincerely hope that you get better and that the new treatment you are using is working. Not for the sake of this story, which is after all just a story, but for your family and those that love you.
Thank you AMP for taking the time to reassemble and update this great story. I'm sure that this is not an easy mission :)
By the way, in French "Il y a une excellente raison de boire, mon ami" does not sound good. You might want to try "Il y a une excellente raison pour laquelle je bois, mon ami".
If you ever have any doubt about a French translation, feel free to ask, I would love to share the knowledge of my mother tongue.
Until next time :)

Made your change to what Marquis de M said. I don't think Mike knows French, he knows Latin. Planning to put up more today or tomorrow but it'll be a whiule after that because of school. Thx, AMP

Aside from the misuse of the term 'semiautomatic'-- which means you have to pull the trigger each time you want to fire a bullet, not 'automatic' where the gun will continue shooting -- though that could be attributed to wizards ignorance? very fantastic chapter! Im very intrigued about this curse!

So Mike took some crap over this one. Told him about it and he said "Go figure, it's not like I know anything about guns" LOL He looked up something and wrote something different. Its in there now. Thx, AMP

Fantastic! This story really is a masterpiece. I know of no equal in all of fanficdom.
Well done FP, an absolutely stellar chapter. My thoughts are with you, may you return to good cheer and health soon, and grace us with more of this pure genius of a story.

Technical point: a semiautomatic gun will keep shooting as many times as you pull the trigger. An automated gun (machine gun) will keep shooting until you release the trigger. Many machine guns have several settings, semi-auto, three round burst and "rock and roll" full auto.
The three round burst is actually the most effective, full rock-and-roll tends to waste ammo and shoot up trees.

It's brilliant writing. I loved this chapter for its complexity and the very fact that I just could not stop reading. It drew me in....especially and most importantly the scene with 'the sending'. That was as creative and cool as anything I've seen among the writers who inhabit this website (and damn, you have powerful company!).
Anyway - great, great job. I can't wait to see the next chapter!
Regards,
Edmond

It is a true tragedy for HP fanfiction that circumstances have obligated FP to abandon this delightful universe. He sure took JKR's and run fast and far away with it!
Best of luck with the treatment, Mike, we are all pulling for you here.
Thanks again, AMP, for the care and work you are putting in this endeavor.

Positively brilliant update. Whenever I read a story like this (and there are perhaps five others of this caliber that I've read thus far, if that many) it's impossible for me to imagine anything better. I can't think of any higher praise than that, and if I could, I'd likely offer that as well.
Looking forward to more.
