Very funny, and continues your unremittingly dire portrait of the Wizarding world: "[...] Brechtian overtones in post-Grindelwald wizarding literature", UCK!

Thanks for sharing this with us.

Caught that, did you?   LOL!   "Unremittingly dire"... I can honestly say that this is the first time I've heard it put quite like that.   ;-)   Well, this *is* Years of Rebellion!Hermione in the vignette, and she certainly has reason to see the wizarding world in a less-than-flattering light.   In fact, the list of reasons is far from fully fleshed out.

Cheers,

Very amusing, but it needs a small addition:

8:15 PM: During commercial break, awards Harry 20 points for giving her a telly with built-in TiVo and Hermione 30 points for programming it for her. Takes 10 points from self for yet again forgetting that Coronation Street starts at 7:30, not 8 o'clock. Wishes it were possible to take points from ITV for putting show on at unmemorable time and from telly manufacturers for coming up with silly and badly-punctuated name like "TiVo."

Either that or she actually watches Eastenders -- and if that's the case, no wonder she keeps it secret! <eg>

Full_Pensieve replied:

Gives 10 points to Tarkas for reminder regarding broadcast timetable.   Takes 50 points from Tarkas for subtle implication that perhaps *I'm* in my dotage. :-P

Cheers,
Mike [FP]

made me smile, especially "The poor dear says he's rather busy; clear evidence of a conflagration in the background."

Excellent, especially all the point-taking and -restoring. Not to mention the WWW gift to her beloved Gryffindors. I like this McGonagall. Very much. Here's hoping inspiration for something more strikes soon - other characters' lives, other stories, more YoR...
