Excellent way to trample on one of the most used cliches.

Ah brilliant. It is really annoying isn't it? He seems to be a universal constant. Even JKR succumbed to it.

Refreshing to read a fic which pokes fun at the cliche.

Very interesting!

Hehehe! I actually love the ones where Griphook is helping steal Dumbldedore steal from Harry's vault & keep Harry ignorant of his heritage/inheritance -- Griphook is than executed by the Gringotts' goblins for insulting their honor & worse for conspiring with a wizard while destroying Gringotts' honor. Nice change from "Hey, you did your job & took me to my vault several years ago (didn't even tell me what the different coins were since Hagrid did that or even how much was in the vault) so I'm going to reward you by letting you run my account, even though I've only met you once & have no proof that you are in any way a competent accountant (I've never seen you do more than play 'cart driver' to wizards)."

nice twist. i do often find it really bizarre that griphook ends up being promoted to 'executive head goblin-in-chief of gringotts' just because harry comes in and says 'hey, i know you'. on the other hand, if it is one of those stories where there is a complicated plot and loads of OCs, it is better to have griphook as harry's goblin liason than some other goblin with a stupid name that the author kepps mis-spelling.

This is a nice little parody of fanfic, but, lo and behold, JKR did have Harry remember Griphook (though not at Gringotts). LOL

Not Harry's usual style! An interesting interlude with Griphook however. Thanks for writing. pms

This was clever :). Glad to see that someone else enjoys ridiculing that cliché (in my own work, Harry asks for Griphook and finds out he's been beheaded for his pro-human stance).

Once again, your works are marvelous and such a pleasure to read.

Hehehe... Good 'ol Kreacher... no wait lil' bastard Kreacher! Anyhow, funny drabble here though he could remember the name once the goblin said it for the third time :-).

LOL - I like it. Harry as a REAL teenager. Now if you could just have him thinking about him getting into some drawers, and I don't mean the ones in his vault! :)

lol,

that gave me a good chuckle, bravo, and just at the moment when my Thucydides professor made a pun about the Platean plight at the end of book 2. lol, thanks again.

KREATURE Lol thats funny. i certainly did not expect that one. Excellent story, i can even see a possible sequel about how griphook goes on to become the leader of a faction of extremist goblins that takes over the world all because Harry didn't remember him.

Heh. Very nice. Are you planning on writing more HP cliche-skewering drabbles?

Jamie46 posted a comment on Friday 13th January 2006 9:51am

lol ;) poor Griphook, expecting so much from a "lowly" wizard :-D hehehe.... Although Harry does seem spaced out like a ditz :) hahaha
